ECHO India Education Program
Encouraged by the international success of the ECHO Model in healthcare, ECHO India is replicating the model in the education sector. To support teachers in their professional development, ECHO India is focussing on redefining the existing mentoring methods. The ECHO model, which is a hub and spoke mentoring model, empowers teachers with the best new teaching approaches and enriches their learnings with time-tested strategies proven beneficial for students.
In 2015, Ms Anuradha Rai, Principal of Ambience Schools, New Delhi, saw a need to improve the expertise of her teachers in the associated public schools, and started the ECHO movement in education. Ever since, ECHO in Education has scaled up to 20+ programs and has impacted hundreds of teachers.
ECHO Education offers sustainable and scalable solutions for teachers’ professional development, recruitment and retention, and motivation by providing regular access to export mentorship alongside a vast and diverse group of peers and colleagues from the industry. Our partners include organisations in the fields of education and training, from both government and non-governmental backgrounds as well as institutions and individuals such as school leaders, mentors, functionaries and administrators.
We, at ECHO India, are using the ECHO model to empower teachers and school leaders through a combination of case-based learning and interactive technology. With the continuous teacher-mentorship, we hope to contribute towards improving the quality of education in schools

Programs Run By ECHO India
1. Samagra Shiksha Assam School Leadership
The school leadership programs aim at empowering the school leaders with the necessary tools and techniques for leading a positive change in their institution. With the pandemic outbreak, these ECHOs equipped the school leaders with real and contextual solutions for the transition from school to online teaching, while also preparing them to adopt the changes outlined in the NEP 2020.
The recently launched ‘Samagra Shiksha Assam School Leadership ECHO’ is a state level ECHO, in which 72 school leaders from all the 33 districts of Assam have been nominated to participate. Hub team members from the Education Department (Government of Assam), Oklahoma State University (USA) and ECHO India have collaboratively designed a curriculum to suit the needs of the school leaders in the state. The six-month ECHO program endeavours to strengthen the leadership capacities among school leaders and professional development for educators as a means for improving quality of education in the state.
